We supply innovative and sustainable stone wool growing media solutions for the professional horticultural sector, based on Precision Growing principles. These solutions are, amongst others, applied for the cultivation of vegetables, plants and flowers, such as tomatoes, cucumbers, sweet peppers, egg plants, roses and gerberas. Sustainability plays a prominent role within Grodan, from the manufacture of stone wool substrates to end-of-life solutions. Contribution to PLANtAR
Grodan contribution to PLANtAR includes: contributing to the definition of specific use cases, primarily use cases aimed at precision horticulture; providing input into the requirements and specifications of the sensors to be developed, as well as testing and piloting the developed sensors both at lab scale and in practice in greenhouse trial stations as well as commercial greenhouse operations.
