On the 24th and 25th of October, the PLANtARs partners came again together, this time in Spain, the sunny city Badajoz, for the third-year-meeting. The idea was, having a two days face-2-face meeting full of discussion, planning and excursions and to use the time also to plan the final review meeting. The meeting was also broadcasted live for remote participants. On the first day, our host Alianza Nanotecnología Diagnóstica (ANT) organized us a visit in the Sensor´s Laboratory (E-noses) of the Extremadura University in Badajoz in the morning. After a refreshing coffee and lunch break, we continued in the conference room, where we heard a lot about the actual status of work, of the demonstrators, the sensors as well as the final review meeting has been planned. During breaks, partners had further time to engage in discussions and to ask questions.
In the evening, the consortium went out for a very nice typical Spanish dinner and a walk through the old town of Badajoz.
On the second day we drove to the company Cicytex (Centro de investigaciones cientificas y tecnologicas de extramadura), close to Badajoz, and visited the different departments and labs in this place. We learned a lot about their work in the region of Badajoz as well as the different topics they are working on. After a refreshing coffee, we went to a cherry and plum field and learned about the demonstrators of the company ANT.
